WINNER WINNER!!!

SPRUCE IT UP QUILTING

The last draw for the 60-Incentive was made yesterday!

Look at the bucket of names!!! We ran out of tickets from that huge roll awhile ago!

I asked Sally to come hold the bucket while I drew the name and guess whose name came out??

Her name has not gone in the bucket since she started working at the shop yet she declined to accept the gift certificate and wanted me to choose another winner.

So the winner of the last $20 Gift Certificate goes to:

CONGRATULATIONS Roberta!!

Thank you so much for a fun year! You ladies rock!

Watch for news of the next challenge!! While you're here, visit the Ornament and the Show and Tell pages for the newest additions...

Only 2 days left to bring us your ornaments! Voting will begin on Monday!

Toodles!

March...

The Greater Moncton Quilter's Guild's Past President issued a challenge to its members in October 2014 to take a panel and transform it into something, whether a quilt, a bag, a wall hanging whatever. Here are 3 challenges and the winners.

Date: March
Lolah's friend: Marilyn
Name/Pattern of the quilt: Panel transformation
Thread: King Tut Cotton
Panto graph: Sorry... couldn't find my paper with the info!
Batting:  100% cotton
Photos and a finish: Marilyn worked on this at Retreat!

It turned out to be a gorgeous quilt. How fun too!

Date: Feb/March
Lolah's friend: Lorette and Marie
Name/Pattern of the quilt: The Geishas a Robert Kaufman fabric
Thread: Vegas Gold Glide
Panto graph: Romanesque
Batting: 100% wool
Photos and a finish:

Marie and Lorette worked on the top together and Lorette quilted.

The goal was to sell tickets to raise funds for a charity but it sold for the amount we hoped to raise before we could get the raffle started! The money was sent to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation in memory of my sister who passed away in January 2013 of a brain aneurysm.

Date: March
Lolah's friend: Odette
Name/Pattern of the quilt: panel challenge
Thread: Gold Glide
Panto graph: Halcyon
Batting: 80/20
Photos and a finish:  Odette also worked on this at retreat!

There were many, many beautiful quilts and quilted objects but these were exceptional! Well done Vivian, Jerry and Christel!

Fabulous examples of talent... don't you agree?

Toodles,

Lorette
